Anger is- Temporary madness

According to Wikipedia definition; ‘Anger is also known as wrath or rage. It is an intense and emotional state that involves a strong uncomfortable and hostile response to a perceived provocation, hurt or threat.’ Reiterating this, anyone who constantly gets angry also risks such physical conditions as an increased heart rate and an high blood pressure.  I know someone who has so much issues with managing his anger. And anytime he is angry he relish in a verbal war, one which causes him to expose the secrets of others just so he could spite them. These were topics he ordinarily would not have raised in public if he was in a saner mood, and so he always end up regretting his actions.  Some other times, he goes as far as destroying items not bothered if same was worth millions in amount, but at that point he always does not care.              Ironically though, he is about the nicest and most selfless human I have ever known, ...

BEING AT PEACE WITH ALL MEN

Image
Romans 12;18; ‘If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peacefully with all men. That is the holy scripture right there. ........................................................................................................................................... I remember my younger years as the sole child in my house hold, my being all alone most times somehow heightened my level of  hostility. And as my friends would always say,  ‘I had zero percent chill’.   But as I became older, I have learnt a lot about tolerating people going forward; Not every human being would have the same ideologies as mine, I often consoled. This is saying that people would always have contrasting characters and be differently opinionated. But then  our diversities as over seven billion world inhabitants  lies in our varying characters as a people;  For instance, some people are snitches, a traitor, same time envious and bo...

MY ILE EPO MARKET EXPERIENCE

I have always loved shopping. As a kid in the early nineties,  I would accompany my mother to markets and excitedly watch the bargaining and haggling between her and the local market women.    Sometimes they exchange banters when the negotiation gets all rosy, or just boos when her pricing does not go down well with them. And as I became older, mum unconsciously arose my interest in shopping by availing me a list of stocks to purchase for the household as incessantly as we could afford it. A pure Lagos mainland bred, of all the markets in my locality, I have always detested the Ile Epo market , majorly because of the stench and then the rowdiness. Never have I come across a market so highly disorganized, chaotic and which oozes a special kind of unfriendly smell my whole life. Despite the state of this market however, it remains one of the best place to visit for the bulk purchase of food items. Huge trucks would bring in produce f...

CORONA VIRUS: Another sign from the Christian Book

Most of the  non-Christians  that I know usually refer to the  holy bible  as just the Christian book .              They are Africans, majorly from my Facebook friend list. Their dislike for the whites and anything that is associated with that race is top notch ,  including Christianity which was touted to have been  imported  into Africa .              Their a ge-long hatred for the white skinned came as a result of the colonialism that the African fathers experienced in the hands of the fore-fathers of the former. Which was what birth the unbelief of these people in the gospel of Jesus Christ , the faith that came with the slave trade . Whenever I ensue anyone of them in a chat, as far as they are concerned saying Christian book seems belittling, but in all honesty as a Christian , I do not consider that offensive in anyway because;         ...
