Karma is a bitch; beware of what you 'dish'

Karma is what I describe as the result of any wrong doing or evil deed carried out by people.

Ironically though, it is not served quite instantaneously hot as believed from some quarters; Even though it tables itself ‘very hot’, it could strike at a time much ‘colder’.

Sometimes it takes a while, long after the deed has been done for people to reap the evil of their past deeds. Many times they might have even forgotten that karma is actually serving them with the same plate they had used to serve others in the past. Just like the story mum told me some years back.

I was told it happened in the early nineties, which though seemed every inch like a Nollywood story, did happened fro real.

A young man who just came back from the ‘abroad’ after successfully bagging a good degree was walking his friend down to the bus stop. And just when the said friend had successfully crossed the bubbling road, abroad guy was not as lucky. He got hit by a truck, touted to have lost his breath quite instantaneously, as he lay helplessly and unconscious on the tarred road. This was few bus stops away from my house. In no time his families came by, father and a few other family members. He lived not too far from the incidence, so it did not take onlookers too much time to call out his family.

It happened that his aged father was a retired police man, and according to his on the spot confession, had admitted to have helped cover up a crime perpetrated on the same spot like a decade prior. An unknown young man was also hit by a drunk driver and the former later died. Oga police (now the father of a deceased) had in his prime helped to cover up the case having been bountifully tipped by the families of the drunk driver The case was twisted to make it seem like the man that was hit was the drunk and not the driver that hit him. Long story short, the driver of the vehicle got away with lesser bail conditions and that was the end.

Decades later, karma visited the son of oga police with the same plate with which he had used to serve others.

Now agreed karma is a bitch right?

There was also the case of a security man that eloped with the cash meant for the ATM Machines of a popular first generation bank some few years ago. As expected, the careless staff of the bank was sacked, but the thief was also duped of the huge cash he stole when he got to Cotonue. This was just when he had concluded on plans to start the business of importation of cars with the huge sum he had stolen. So did he actually gain a thing? No.

karma even visited him sooner than expected.

This is to say that whoever ceaselessly engages in one ill or the other should know that though Karma could be very patient sometimes, it is still that known fieriest bitch when it eventually decides to strike.

Henceforth if nothing, every of our deeds should be carefully considered before the action is carried out. And like the bible had rightly described, whatever it is you know how to do best, keep doing it, reward lies in wait for everyone.

Karma is there to right all of the wrongs and accordingly and hence a bitch, beware of what you serve - 'dish" to others.
