Note on Sunday; don’t you just fear God?

Image
Growing up I spent most of the time reflecting on the Universe. Some of the thoughts that usually race through my little mind came in form of questions like; “How the Universe came about? Who created it? What is the rationale behind the Evolution/Advent of all living Creations? How would the end of the Universe be? How can I meet God? Why does he seemed faceless sort of?” etc But subsequently as life presents itself further, with much Physical and Spiritual knowledge garnered, I have come to see the Magnificence of the Almighty who is undoubtedly the brain behind all existence. That is GOD , the one to be feared and never to be questioned. One who creates every seen creation yet remains relatively unseen . He makes decisions and does things as he so pleases. GOD The Creation of the Universe was his idea, all of the Concepts and the turn out of the events on Earth came from him. And even though people decide to acknowledge him in ways they best understood...

EMBRACING LOCALLY MADE PRODUCTS? A STEP TOWARDS ERADICATING UNEMPLOYMENT

Image
The fact that Nigerian’s unemployment rate is on the high side no longer raises too many brows in the News. It has steadily been on the rise and recently stands at 23.1% with over 20 Million Nigerians unemployed. Without dwelling much on criticizing the Government, since they are the actual ‘persons’ directly responsible for creating adequate jobs for her youth, more emphasis shall be on the effects and contributions of the unconscious actions of the populace to the menace. To start with, it is funny how youths bemoan their state of being unemployed when it is widely believed that,  heaven helps those who helps themselves. Why would anyone rather be in prayer sessions every Monday instead of going job hunting, or to gear up his/her employable skills? Some others spend their entire days surfing the Net for unproductive contents, or await Celebrity give-away on Instagram . Unemployment is actually a major ill affecting the Country and her Economy, and it came ...

FEATURES; PREPARE FOR YOUR OLD AGE

Image
I was out one sunny day to locate the Residential address of a Client, so I approached a group of bikers swarmed all over the entrance of a junction to ask for direction and possibly give me a ride. But my heart skipped as soon as I realized that almost all of them were old men, supposedly looking rickety and hairs all grey. With the stitches on my kneels as a result of a motorbike accident that I had almost two decades ago very visible still, the need to be driven by a younger person has never been negotiable. And since I do not have the luxury of having a choice on this day, I unwillingly journeyed along.   No gainsaying the fact that I was uncomfortable all through the ride as his wrinkled hands maneuvered the grip of the motorbike, his leg doing same on the clutch as he struggled to maintain balance. These men and many others are a pitiable sight of how old men and women still hustle hard on a daily basis so that they could make ends meet. These are the set ...

Politics today; About Theresa May’s resignation

Image
That the Prime Minister of Britain, Theresa May has resigned is no longer a thing on the internet. On the 24 th of May, 2019 however, she handed over as a Conservative Party Leader and on the 7 th of June, a successor would be chosen. Meanwhile, being the second female Prime Minister after Margaret Thatcher, Theresa May’s firmness especially has either endeared her to some, or made her a subject of ridicule to others. Whichever way, I personally admired her leadership style as against what is applicable in an African setting; this is despite being faulted over Brexit failure. In as much as I always take caution when judging shoes that I am not in, the UK being a part of the UE is not a today happenstance. So Brexit might not be as instantaneous as craved, and that the challenges encountered in trying to dissociate might be one that is posing too difficult. NB; for those who might not understand the last paragraph, the English people are angry, majority ...

About being conservative……………….

Image
I have always come across the word ‘conservative’ , but I never really gave it much importance or realized how relative it is to us as humans, until I started working in the Finance Sector . Loan Officer training goes; when working on the data towards calculating the income of a Client , it is best to consider minimal sales as against a little bloated expense . By so doing, a realistic re-payment capacity is gotten for the client . This is being conservative. Whatever that means to those who do not understand, it literarily means that it is better to assume that a Client spends more on paper than he naturally does, against an intentionally downturned declared sales for a more realistic re-payment capacity at the end of the day. In a nutshell, the idea is to loan an amount that Clients are able to pay back very comfortably. Being conservative in other terms is also not embracing changes, especially one that is sudden. Sudden changes could make or mar one’s f...
