Only a gun put to my head could make me proclaim albeit under duress that Nigeria is rightly presided over . And I know for a fact, that same thing would apply to lots more Nigerians other than me, both resident home and abroad. It is intentional anyways, the fact that I had always shied away from writing on politically related issues . The reason being that it could be mentally draining when writing about realistic suggestions and solutions to the many ills of the country, yet no leader seems to bulge about the feelings of the masses.     In the past however, complaints and struggles had always been fought by the masses in their living room, usually after the News on TV and then family members get to deliberate. Reporters on their part goes the extra mile to interview Lawmakers, penning to pad, whatever obvious ‘ lies’ the latter had uttered and hence the dailies printed forth for the masses to consume further lies and failed promises.   My hair I consider ‘stubborn’ just because it hardly relaxes . Hair relaxers does not give the needed appeal. In fact, I had to endure constant hair breakages and discoloration as a result of trying too many hair-relaxers . You see that African virgin hair, tight curls and rough texture with all of its famous kinkiness? That’s exactly how my hair looked just a few hours after retouching. There is actually no hair relaxer that I have not tried, yet it remained the same. And even though I eventually settled for a kit-relaxer that softened it a bit, at least for a few days, it usually returns to status quo afterwards. It is generally said that hair is to be relaxed every quarter, at some point I defied the rule and ‘retouched’ twice in a particular month that I couldn’t wait. Having babies isn’t really the thing but training them to be responsible adults. I have had to listen to parents bemoan who their kids had grown to become, blaming it on peer pressure, outright defiance, improper environment and so on.   And sometimes I wonder why these parents never come to terms with the fact that in most cases, kids are only a modernized version of whom their parents are. Children in a household are privy to the innermost secrets of their parents that the world never gets to see, so they tend to exhibit such traits rather unrepentantly. For instance, a woman that steals, even if it is only from the pocket of her husband has a high tendency of being mothers to kids that pilfers. A promiscuous woman is more likely to raise a sexually immoral for a daughter, than a mother who is decent. A fetish man in privy, or one that wields cutlasses at every slightest provocation and most probably keeps arms and ammunition illegally would raise cultists and arms dealers ...

Growing up it was a norm to have our grams or other aged people in their forties and above, relatively looking exactly like the number of decades they had spent on earth. Looking quite elderly, some even no longer stay fashionable with hairs all grey, wrinkled skin especially among other physical attributes of an older person which they usually possess. But in the last one decade, it had become like a competition sort of, to have people naturally ageing ‘backwards’ . The new fifty be looking like it’s thirty. Meanwhile, the Nigerian Instagram space recently went agog with the images of a woman celebrating her fifty years birthday. Looking quite slimer, younger and fresher than even her own daughter who posed besides. My focus is on four banks; ACCESS, STANBIC IBTC, STERLING  and  UBA . It was a  ‘thing’  for me when a family friend I hadn’t contacted in few years called me from the blue. His friend’s handbag just got stolen, but for her  Stanbic IBTC   debit card  and phone (which contained her bank app), she wouldn’t have been bothered about the small amount the bag contained. All my  family friend  knew was that I work in a  financial institution  so he feels I should be enlightened enough to proffer a solution, hence the call to help out. This expectation not only shocked but challenged me to device a solution, just so the fraudsters would not be able to access the account for withdrawals.  Meanwhile, it was a Sunday . My mum usually tells one story albeit fondly. Out of all the life occurrences that are inadvertently tagged ‘ time-bad’ , sexual abuse would never be one of them, the reason is not far-fetched.  Victims of sexual abuse (from outright rape, molestation to penetration, defilement or whatever classification that a portion of the ignorant member of the public might chose for the purpose of justification as the case may be) never forgets. An abuse is an abuse albeit so brief that the perpetrator might have long-forgotten . The aftermath of sexual abuse often throws victims into a state of emotional disarray that stays glued till the end of their lives. First of all, that alternative and yet to be fully embraced source of wealth in Nigeria is Agriculture. For many years Nigeria has been overly dependent on the wealth generated from Crude Oil . And according to International Monetary Fund , the Country’s oil sector accounts for over 95% of export earnings and about 40% of Government revenues. A fact that screams: 'Take crude oil money away from Nigeria and she get to financially shake  to her roots as a Nation'.
